Visiting Faculty in Finance – Spring 2027, CIMBA Italy

CIMBA Italy, an international business education program accredited by the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, is seeking an experienced Finance faculty member to teach undergraduate courses during the Spring 2027 term at CIMBA’s campus in northern Italy.
The successful candidate will teach Corporate Finance and Wealth Management in person and in English.
About the Role
The Spring 2027 academic term runs from January 18 to April 9, 2027.
Faculty are expected to arrive in time to participate in faculty orientation on the Friday before classes begin and remain through the completion of finals week.
Instruction takes place at CIMBA’s campus in Paderno del Grappa, in the Veneto region of northern Italy, approximately one hour northwest of Venice.
Teaching Responsibilities
The visiting Finance faculty member will teach both of the following undergraduate courses:
- FIN:3300 Corporate Finance
- FIN:4340 Wealth Management
Faculty must use the University of Iowa’s course-management system and provide appropriate readings, assignments, activities, and other course materials.
Existing syllabi and prior course materials for both courses are available as a foundation for course preparation.
Compensation and Faculty Support
The appointment includes:
- Total compensation and expense-support package of approximately $20,500–$30,000, depending on qualifications and appointment circumstances
- Furnished faculty housing at no cost, provided separately for the duration of the appointment
- Expense support for round-trip travel to Italy and transportation to and from the airport, drawn from the total compensation and expense-support package
- $1,500 allocation toward the use of a rental vehicle during the semester, drawn from the total compensation and expense-support package
- Appointment through the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business
- Access to University faculty resources, libraries, course-management systems, and academic support
- Existing syllabi and prior course materials for both courses
Food and personal incidental expenses are the responsibility of the faculty member.
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Demonstrated expertise in Corporate Finance and Wealth Management
- Demonstrated effectiveness teaching university students, including positive student evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Academic and professional qualifications appropriate for appointment through the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business
- Willingness and ability to reside in Italy for the duration of the Spring 2027 appointment
- Ability to use the University of Iowa’s course-management system and provide appropriate readings, assignments, activities, and other course materials
Current tenured or tenure-track faculty, teaching or clinical faculty, experienced lecturers, and emeritus or recently retired faculty are encouraged to apply.
