Karim Bennouna, Ph.D.
Founder & CEO, AcademyHire
AcademyHire was founded by Karim Bennouna, a researcher, educator, and digital entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience spanning finance, business technology, digital marketing, and higher education.
His academic qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in Business — Queensland University of Technology, Australia
- Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) — Southern Cross University, Australia
- Master of International Management — Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA
- MBA in Finance — Kansas State University, USA
Academic Research and Recognition
Karim's doctoral research at Queensland University of Technology examined initial public offering (IPO) failures across international markets, exploring the role of institutional and cultural factors.
His doctoral thesis, IPO Failures Around the World (2015), is available through the university's official research repository.

Karim also co-authored Improved Capital Budgeting Decision Making: Evidence from Canada, published in the peer-reviewed journal Management Decision (2010, Vol. 48, Issue 2, pp. 225–247).
The research examined capital investment decision-making practices among major Canadian companies and received a Highly Commended Paper Award at the 2011 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence.
