About the Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Thrust
The DSA Thrust is part of the Information Hub at HKUST(GZ). It focuses on advancing data science, analytics, and artificial intelligence through cross-disciplinary research and education. The goal is simple—turn data into real-world solutions that benefit people and society.

Open Faculty Positions
HKUST(GZ) invites applications for multiple positions at all ranks: Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.

Candidate Qualifications
All applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the Thrust.

Assistant Professors should show strong research and teaching potential.
Associate Professors should have a proven record of research, student supervision, and external funding. Professors should demonstrate world-class academic excellence, leadership, and a strong funding and supervision record.

Appointment Terms
All roles are tenure-track appointments under mainland China’s employment laws. Professors and some Associate Professors may receive tenure upon appointment. Other tenure-track faculty will start with contracts of up to six years.
