About HKUST (Guangzhou)

Founded in June 2022, HKUST (Guangzhou) is a new, global, and forward-looking university. It is jointly run by Mainland China and Hong Kong.

The university was built for one big question:
How do we solve real problems in a fast-changing world?

To do this, HKUST(GZ) uses a Hub and Thrust model. This replaces old-style schools and departments. The goal is simple: break silos and boost innovation.
