Position Summary

The College of Business Administration is seeking a qualified Associate Professor of Finance to teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses while contributing to research, curriculum development, student mentoring, accreditation initiatives, and university service.

This is a full-time faculty appointment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Teach introductory and advanced finance courses.
• Prepare and deliver engaging classroom instruction.
• Develop and improve finance courses and curriculum.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Conduct high-quality scholarly research.
• Publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Present research at academic conferences.
• Participate in faculty meetings and university events.
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
• Support AACSB accreditation and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Contribute to community engagement and university initiatives.
• Assist with faculty mentoring and recruitment when appropriate.
• Perform other academic duties assigned by university leadership.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related discipline from an accredited Western residential university.
• Associate Professor rank or eligibility for appointment.
• Official promotion letter for candidates applying as Associate Professor.
• At least three years of successful university teaching where English is the language of instruction.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Active research record demonstrated through publications in refereed journals and conference presentations.
• Experience teaching finance using modern instructional technologies.
• Strong commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in AACSB-accredited institutions.
• Knowledge of Islamic Finance.
• Experience using finance software, stock trading simulation platforms, and finance analytics tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using innovative teaching methods such as flipped classrooms.
• Professional finance certifications.
• Previous academic experience in Saudi Arabia, the GCC, or the Middle East.
• Strong cultural awareness and intercultural communication skills.
