Briar Cliff University invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Finance or Associate Professor of Finance position in the Department of Business and Communication. The preferred start date is Spring 2027, with Fall 2027 also considered.

This is a 9-month faculty position for an educator who enjoys teaching, mentoring students, developing curriculum, and serving the university community.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate finance and business courses while supporting student success and academic excellence. Faculty members also contribute through advising, curriculum improvement, professional development, and university service.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced finance courses
• Teach selected general business courses
• Support the University's Core Values Curriculum
• Maintain a normal teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year

Required Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Finance or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• A terminal degree (Ph.D., DBA, or equivalent) in Finance or a related discipline
