Position Overview

The College of Business and Digital Innovation at the University of New Haven – Riyadh (NHU-Riyadh) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice in Management, beginning in Spring 2027.

NHU-Riyadh is the first international branch campus to have received approval in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and opened its doors. The college welcomed its first students at Misk City, Riyadh, in August 2026 and is building its faculty for its next phase of growth.

The position combines teaching, service, and research and provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of business curricula during the campus's formative years. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a student-centered approach.

Faculty members are also expected to support student success through advising, career mentoring, and student-focused activities.

Teaching Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in management, incorporating current developments and real-world applications.

Courses may include one or more of the following:

Additional Responsibilities

The Assistant Professor of Practice in Management will also be expected to:

  • Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
  • Research: Conduct research that advances the field of management.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative and relevant curricula.
  • Mentorship: Guide and advise students and support their professional and career development.
  • Service: Participate in service activities supporting the department, college, and university.
  • Student Engagement: Support and participate in student-focused activities at the NHU-Riyadh campus.

Qualifications

Candidates should meet one of the following educational and professional profiles:

  • Ph.D. in Management or a related discipline, with experience in one or more of the teaching areas listed above; or
  • MBA with substantive experience and/or professional engagement in one or more of the teaching areas listed above. Candidates with this profile will be considered.

Candidates should also demonstrate:

  • Excellence in teaching and a commitment to student learning and mentorship.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

For candidates who hold a terminal degree, the University seeks a strong research record or the potential to produce high-quality intellectual contributions.

Preferred Experience and Skills

The University seeks candidates who can teach effectively within a North American higher education framework.

Experience teaching at North American universities is highly desirable, particularly when combined with demonstrated success in:

  • Active learning
  • Industry-engaged projects
  • Technology-enabled instruction
  • AACSB-aligned innovative teaching practices

Business practice experience is well regarded.

Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Compensation

Compensation, including salary and any potential allowances, will be established in accordance with the Saudi Arabian compensation framework and the successful candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and position.

Visa and Work Authorization

Successful candidates will be processed, onboarded, and deployed to Riyadh through an outsourcing human resources company contracted by the University of New Haven for this purpose.

Academic duties will be supervised by University of New Haven administrative staff.

Successful candidates will be required to obtain and appropriately maintain a Saudi Arabia visa and related work authorizations through the contracted human resources outsourcing company.
