Position Overview
New York University’s Stern School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor role in the Department of Management and Organizations. This position focuses on Organizational Theory (OT) and Organizational Behavior (OB). The role begins September 2026 at the NY campus in New York City.

Responsibilities
Faculty are expected to:

  • Conduct high-quality academic research in management and organizations.
  • Teach core and elective courses, such as leadership, power and influence, change management, groups and teams.
  • Contribute to a vibrant, diverse academic community through research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Management, Organizations, or a related field (must be completed or successfully defended prior to appointment).
  • Strong potential for top-tier research publications.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to engage a diverse student body at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role is $185,000 – $285,000 (9-month contract). This excludes incentives, bonuses, and other compensation. NYU Stern offers a world-class benefits package and competitive academic support resources.
