Position Overview
The University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics. The position begins in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will show a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student success, and high-quality research. The department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Business and Technology, known for its collaborative environment and engagement with the regional business community.

Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses
• Conduct scholarly research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service
• Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic and career goals
• Engage in professional development and contribute to community and industry outreach

Qualifications
Required:
Doctorate in Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD candidates within one year of completion will be considered)
• Demonstrated teaching experience and commitment to academic excellence
• Proven research potential in finance or related areas
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:
• Completed PhD in Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution
University-level teaching experience, including online instruction
Publication record in quality journals
• Research or teaching expertise in investments, banking, or financial institutions

Salary: Up to $126,000 per year, commensurate with experience
