The Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications for a full-time faculty role in the Department of Finance. The position may be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, depending on experience. Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Professor candidates must hold (or be near completion of) a PhD in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Evidence of strong research potential in top-tier journals is required.

Associate and Full Professor candidates must demonstrate an established record of publications in leading finance or economics journals.

All applicants must show a clear record of teaching effectiveness and leadership potential aligned with the rank.
Appointment Details

This is a 100% full-time academic appointment on a 12-month basis.

Expected start date: August 16, 2026.

Salary range: $250,000β$450,000, competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, with consideration for internal equity.
