The Opportunity
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Finance, starting July 1, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). This role offers the chance to teach undergraduate finance courses while continuing your research and professional growth in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Key Teaching and Research Areas
Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:
• Options and derivatives
• Foreign exchange and currency markets
• Risk management and hedging
• Portfolio management and investment analysis
Qualifications
Applicants must hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in Finance or a closely related field. You should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda. Evidence of effective teaching experience at the undergraduate level and early scholarly work is desirable. Professional experience in finance, government, or the non-profit sector will be considered an asset. Holding a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is also an advantage.
