Position Overview
The American University in Cairo (AUC) invites applications for a full-time Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Finance within the Onsi Sawiris School of Business. This fixed-term, four-year appointment begins in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise MSc Finance theses, and advance research in fields such as corporate finance, financial economics, fintech, banking, portfolio theory, and algorithmic trading.

Responsibilities
• Develop and lead a world-class research program with a focus on emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa
• Publish in top-tier finance journals (ABDC A*/A, Scopus Q1/Q2) and present at international conferences
• Secure competitive external funding to sustain and expand research activities
• Teach and mentor at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including introductory finance courses
• Supervise graduate students and provide mentorship to junior faculty
• Build strong collaborations with industry, government, and civil society for applied finance research
• Contribute to institutional service, program development, and community engagement

Qualifications
• PhD in Finance, Economics, or a related business field from a reputable university (AACSB and/or EQUIS accreditation preferred)
• Demonstrated record of research excellence and scholarly impact in finance and related disciplines
• Strong publication record in the past five years in leading international journals
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and innovative curriculum development
• Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and applied research in finance
