Position Overview
The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position. The role begins July 1, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA.
We welcome scholars with interests in Corporate Finance, Asset Pricing, and Macroeconomics. The department teaches Finance across undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral programs.

Responsibilities
Faculty members are expected to:

  • Conduct high-quality research in Finance.
  • Publish in leading academic journals.
  • Teach at the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral levels.
  • Contribute to the department and wider academic community.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Finance or a related field. Candidates completing their PhD by June 30, 2027 will be considered.
  • Evidence of strong research ability or clear potential.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to excellence.
