Assistant Professor, Management Information Systems (Tenure Track)

Position Overview
Villanova University’s School of Business is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Management Information Systems (MIS). The successful candidate will join the Department of Accounting and Information Systems beginning in Fall 2026. This faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other areas of MIS, while contributing to research and service activities within the department.

Responsibilities
Faculty in this role will:
• Teach MIS and AI-related courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in leading MIS journals, as listed on the Villanova School of Business MIS journal list.
• Engage in departmental and university service consistent with faculty rank.
• Contribute to a collegial and collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field (required by the start date).
• Demonstrated teaching experience and potential to excel in both classroom and online instruction.
• Evidence of the potential to publish in top-tier, peer-reviewed MIS journals.
• Commitment to working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Qualifications
• A strong publication record or demonstrated research pipeline.
• Proven record of high-quality teaching in MIS or related disciplines.
• Ability to integrate emerging technologies like AI into teaching and research.
