Position Overview
The American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Business with expertise in Finance & Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS). This role is ideal for academics seeking to grow their careers in a dynamic international business school setting while enjoying Cambodia’s vibrant culture and professional opportunities.

As a faculty member, you will engage in teaching, research, advising, and mentoring. You will guide students toward success in their academic and professional journeys, while contributing to AUPP’s mission as one of Southeast Asia’s leading private universities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Finance, Accounting, and MIS.
  • Deliver lectures both on campus and as a global lecturer for partner institutions.
  • Develop engaging lectures, assignments, and in-class activities.
  • Evaluate and grade exams, quizzes, and assignments using Canvas LMS.
  • Advise students on academic performance, success strategies, and career planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and research.
  • Stay current with industry and academic trends in business, technology, and management.
  • Actively participate in professional development and campus initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Finance, Accounting, MIS, Business Administration, or a closely related field (fresh PhD graduates encouraged).
  • Teaching experience at the university level, preferably in an American-style institution.
  • Proven academic or professional expertise in the business legal environment.
  • Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with Canvas or similar learning management systems.
