Assistant/Associate Professor in Data Science, Information Systems, or Operations Research

Position Overview
Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE) is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position starting September 2026. The role is open at the Assistant Professor level, though experienced Assistant or Associate Professors will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates pursuing academic careers in business with expertise in data science, information systems, or operations research.

Responsibilities
Faculty at Católica Lisbon are expected to:

• Conduct high-quality research suitable for top-tier journals.
• Engage in teaching at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to address business and economic challenges.
• Contribute to the development of the Operations, Information Systems, and Data Science group.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative discipline such as operations research, decision sciences, computer science, information systems, statistics, or economics.
• Strong research pipeline or established record of publication in leading journals.
• Ability to integrate data science techniques into both research and teaching.
• For Associate Professor candidates: proven excellence in research, teaching, and contributions to the field.
