Position Overview
Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance. This full-time, on-site role is based in Manhattan, Kansas, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive academic community known for excellence in teaching, research, and engagement.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will actively participate in research, teaching, and service within the Department of Finance.
• Research: Conduct and publish high-quality research in finance or related areas, meeting departmental standards for academic excellence.
• Teaching: Focus on financial services as a primary teaching area, with the ability to teach additional subjects such as principles of finance.
• Service: Demonstrate strong collegiality through contributions to departmental and college activities—advising student organizations, engaging with alumni and corporate partners, and serving on committees as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school.
• Proven potential for publishing in reputable finance journals.
• Demonstrated ability for effective university-level teaching.
• Commitment to the service mission of the department and college.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Established research record with publications and conference presentations.
• Previous university teaching experience in Finance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant professional work experience and the ability to engage external partners to enhance student development.
