Assistant Professor of Finance – Tenure-Track at NYU Stern

Position Overview
The Finance Department at New York University Stern School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position starting September 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to join one of the most respected business schools in the world, right in the heart of New York City. Candidates across all fields of finance and economics will be considered.

Responsibilities
Faculty at Stern are expected to:

• Conduct impactful and innovative research in finance.
• Teach at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels.
• Contribute to the intellectual community at NYU through collaboration and service.

Qualifications

• A completed PhD in finance, economics, or a related field by the start date.
• Evidence of strong research potential.
• Demonstrated ability or clear potential to teach effectively across programs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $246,000 – $346,000 (for a 9-month appointment).
• Additional compensation (such as bonuses or incentives) may apply.

  Compensation is determined based on scope of role, experience, education, and market considerations.
