About the Opportunity
The Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) Division at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (UBC), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management Information Systems at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is an excellent opportunity for scholars seeking to join one of the world’s top business schools, located in one of the most desirable cities globally.

Qualifications
Applicants should hold, or be near completion of, a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related field. We welcome outstanding candidates with a proven or emerging record of research excellence and teaching effectiveness. Applicants currently holding faculty positions at other institutions are also encouraged to apply.

Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain a high-impact research program in Management Information Systems.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as cybersecurity, IT project management, database management systems, business programming, analytics, artificial intelligence, and other relevant MIS topics.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, student mentorship, and service activities within the MIS Group and Sauder School of Business.
  • Support the growth of the Business Technology Management and Business Analytics programs.

Salary & Appointment

  • Start Date: July 1, 2026 (subject to budget approval)
  • Salary Range: $200,000 – $250,000 per annum
