Position Summary

The College of Business Administration is seeking qualified faculty members in Management Information Systems. Appointments may be made at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level based on qualifications and experience.

Faculty members are expected to:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate MIS courses.
• Develop engaging learning experiences.
• Conduct high-quality scholarly research.
• Participate in curriculum development.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Serve on departmental and university committees.
• Support accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the university community through professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in MIS and related fields.
• Design, update, and improve course materials.
• Create innovative and student-centered learning experiences.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Support student learning through advising and mentoring.

Research

• Maintain an active research program.
• Publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Present research at national and international conferences.
• Contribute to the university's research goals.

Service

• Participate in faculty meetings and university events.
• Serve on academic committees.
• Support AACSB accreditation activities.
• Contribute to curriculum review and quality assurance.
• Participate in university and community initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Ph.D. in Management Information Systems or a closely related discipline from an accredited Western residential university.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• At least three years of successful university teaching in English.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• An active record of scholarly research and publications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to work in a diverse academic environment.
• Experience using educational technology in teaching.

For candidates applying at the Associate Professor level:

• A documented promotion letter demonstrating promotion through an approved academic process is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in AACSB-accredited institutions.
• Experience supporting accreditation activities.
• Previous teaching or professional experience in the Middle East or GCC region.
• Leadership experience within higher education.
• Experience mentoring faculty and students.
