The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is hiring an Adjunct Faculty – Finance to teach in a student-focused environment.
You will teach finance and related business subjects to second-language learners. You will help students build real-world skills. You will also support academic quality, innovation, and student success.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
-
Teach finance courses using a practical, applied approach
-
Align instruction with course outcomes and program goals
-
Use educational technology and digital tools
-
Provide clear and continuous feedback to students

Assess students through exams, projects, and assignments

Support students in a second-language learning environment
-
Maintain regular office hours
Student Advising
-
Serve as a student advisor
-
Identify at-risk students and recommend action plans
-
Mentor students during internships or work placements
Assessment & Quality
-
Update grades on time
-
Contribute to question banks and assessments
-
Prepare electronic Course Assessment Files (eCAF)
-
Participate in course review and curriculum updates
-
Support accreditation and continuous improvement
Research & Professional Engagement

Conduct applied research in finance or related areas
-
Align research with UAE national innovation priorities
-
Participate in conferences
-
Mentor student research projects
Service & Leadership

Serve on academic or campus committees

Support student clubs and activities
-
Engage with industry and the local community
-
Mentor colleagues when required

Support Emiratization initiatives
Workload
-
Minimum 35 working hours per week
-
Work week: Sunday to Thursday

Teaching load: 27–33 credit hours per academic year

Fall: 15 credits
-
Spring: 15 credits
-
Summer: 3 credits
Faculty may assist with system-wide assessments when required.
Qualifications
You must meet one of the following:

PhD in Finance or related discipline (preferred)

Master’s degree + relevant professional certification + 5 years teaching and industry experience
-
Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience and certification (may be considered)
Experience Requirements

Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in finance or business

3+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred)
-
Experience with curriculum development and accreditation standards

Experience using educational technology in teaching
