Position Overview
Governors State University’s College of Business seeks applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Management position, starting August 2025. This role may be extended for the 2026–2027 academic year. The position is full-time, with an annual salary range of $95,000.00 to $100,000.00.

Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management. The standard teaching load is 27 credit hours across the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Preferred teaching areas include Principles of Management, Business Statistics, Strategy, and Supply Chain Management. Additional teaching assignments may depend on department needs and candidate expertise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution by August 2025; ABD candidates in the final stages are welcome to apply.
  • Evidence of, or potential for, effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Interest in developing and teaching online courses.
  • Potential for scholarly activity that meets AACSB SA standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in management, business statistics, supply chain management, business strategy, and principles of management.
  • Professional business or industry experience.
  • Experience with online or hybrid teaching.
  • Familiarity with AACSB accreditation standards.
