Position Overview

The Professor in Financial Economics will teach graduate students, supervise research, publish in leading academic journals, and contribute to program development and university service.

Teaching Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Teach graduate courses in:
  • Financial Economics

• Coordinate graduate-level courses.
• Create engaging learning experiences.
• Use modern teaching methods and educational technology.

Research Responsibilities

You will be expected to:

• Conduct high-quality research.
• Publish in internationally recognized journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
• Build national and international research collaborations.
• Pursue research that advances financial economics and related disciplines.

Graduate Student Supervision

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise master's theses.
• Supervise PhD dissertations.
• Mentor graduate students throughout their research journey.

Academic Leadership

Faculty members also contribute to the university community by:

• Developing and updating academic programs.
• Supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities.
• Serving on department, college, and university committees.
• Building partnerships with universities, government agencies, and financial institutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• A PhD from an accredited university in:
  • Financial Economics
  • Finance
  • Economics
  • Or a closely related field
• A strong publication record with at least 10 research papers published in Q1 or Q2 journals in Financial Economics.
• Graduate-level teaching experience.
• Experience supervising master's and PhD students.
• Experience in curriculum design and academic program development.
• Experience with accreditation and quality assurance.
• Experience collaborating with financial institutions, government organizations, or international partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• A successful record of obtaining research grants or funded projects.
• Professional experience in:
  • Financial institutions
  • Central banks
  • Regulatory authorities
• Experience teaching in blended or online learning environments.
• Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
