Harvard Business School (HBS) is hiring several Predoctoral Research Associates to begin in Summer 2026. Responsibilities
Support faculty research across HBS’s academic units including Accounting & Management, Finance, Strategy, and more.
• Conduct independent research and analysis on assigned topics.
• Write cases, reports, and articles for academic and business audiences.
• Use data science tools and statistical programming to analyze research data.
• Prepare case supplements, project memos, and policy briefs.
• Work under faculty guidance while exercising independent judgment and problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with Harvard and federal research standards.
• Collaborate in a hybrid work model, balancing on-campus and remote research tasks.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with GPA above 3.5 required.
• Demonstrated ability in independent research and academic writing.
• Strong skills in analysis, interpretation of data, and critical thinking.
• High attention to detail, excellent organization, and commitment to deadlines.
• Experience with statistical software or programming preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $63,000 – $100,200 (Grade 055).
