Lecturer Positions in Supply Chain – Carlson School of Management

Institution Overview
The University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions within the Department of Supply Chain and Operations. These academic roles offer a one-year appointment from August 25, 2025, through May 24, 2026, and are ideal for experienced professionals or academics in supply chain, operations, or business administration faculty jobs.

Teaching Responsibilities
Lecturers will teach a total of 14 credits during the 2025–2026 academic year across undergraduate and master’s programs, including the MS in Supply Chain Management and MBA (Full-Time and Part-Time) tracks. Core teaching areas may include:

  • Introductory Supply Chain Management
  • Transportation and Logistics
  • Strategic Sourcing
  • Quality Management, Lean and Six Sigma
  • Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning (SIOP)
  • Supply Chain Analytics and Data Management
  • Supply Chain Finance and Risk
  • Global Operations Strategy
  • Project Management and Supply Chain Technologies

Lecturers are expected to maintain availability for student advising and engagement beyond classroom hours.

Research Expectations
Candidates are encouraged to engage in research and scholarly activity that supports their continued development toward an independent academic career. While this is a teaching-focused role, ongoing research is valued and supported.

Service Contributions
Appointees will participate in departmental, school, and university service activities appropriate to the Lecturer rank, contributing to the Carlson School’s academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal degree or Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant academic or industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or ABD in Supply Chain and Operations or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching or training
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • U.S. work eligibility (note: H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is not available for this position)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Appointment: 75%–100%
  • Employee Classification: Faculty and P&A Staff
