Position Overview – Accounting Faculty
We are hiring full-time Accounting faculty to teach, research, and contribute to institutional growth.
We welcome scholars with strong academic training, clear research goals, and a passion for teaching in an African context. Multidisciplinary profiles are highly encouraged.

Teaching may occur at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching Excellence
You will:
-
Design and teach engaging accounting courses
-
Use clear examples and real cases
-
Teach in-person and online formats
-
Create lectures, slides, readings, and assignments
-
Assess student work and give timely feedback
-
Hold office hours and support students
-
Use learning platforms and teaching technology
-
Apply project-based learning and entrepreneurship
-
Supervise internships and capstone projects

Research and Innovation
You will:

Conduct impactful research linked to Africa

Address real-world economic and business issues
-
Publish in ranked journals (FNEGE, ABDC, ABS, FT-50)

Seek external research funding

Collaborate across disciplines

Build links with industry and other universities

Service and Community Engagement
You will:

Help develop academic programs

Required Qualifications
-
Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Accounting or related field
-
Strong university-level teaching record
-
Peer-reviewed journal publications
-
Experience with curriculum development
-
Ability to pursue external funding
-
Commitment to service and engagement
-
Native-like fluency in English
-
Familiarity with the U.S. higher education model
Experience Requirements
Essential:
-
At least 2 years of university teaching in Africa
-
At least two peer-reviewed publications
-
ABS Rank 3 or 4 (or two ABS Rank 2)
Highly Recommended:
-
Teaching or study experience in an English-speaking country
Desirable:
-
Industry or professional experience
-
Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, etc.)
