Key Responsibilities

Teaching

You will:

• Teach finance and related business courses
• Deliver engaging, practical, and student-centered lessons
• Follow approved course syllabi and learning outcomes
• Use educational technology to improve learning
• Support students who study in a second-language environment
• Provide timely feedback through assignments, projects, presentations, and exams
• Hold regular office hours to guide and assist students

Student Success

You will:

• Advise and mentor students
• Monitor academic progress
• Support students during internships and work placements
• Help develop action plans for students who need extra support

Assessment

You will:

• Prepare and grade assessments
• Keep student records and grades up to date
• Contribute to assessment development and question banks
• Maintain high academic standards

Research and Scholarship

You will:

• Conduct applied research related to finance and business
• Support the UAE's national innovation priorities
• Present research at conferences
• Mentor student research projects

Academic Service

You will:

• Serve on faculty, program, campus, or institutional committees
• Advise student organizations and activities
• Participate in community and industry engagement
• Support curriculum development and continuous improvement
• Help maintain academic quality and accreditation standards

Administrative Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing electronic course assessment reports
• Managing assigned course content and assessments
• Reviewing and improving curriculum
• Maintaining teaching resources
• Invigilating examinations when required
• Completing other academic duties assigned by the supervisor

Leadership

You may also:

• Mentor junior colleagues
• Support the development of UAE national talent
• Promote organizational resilience and teamwork
• Contribute to faculty recruitment and professional development

Qualifications

Applicants should meet one of the following requirements:

• Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related discipline (preferred)
• Master's degree with a relevant professional certification plus 5 years of teaching and industry experience
• Bachelor's degree with extensive industry experience and relevant professional certification may also be considered in some cases

Preferred Experience

Successful candidates will typically have:

• At least 3 years of teaching experience in finance or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience (preferred)
• Experience developing curriculum that meets accreditation standards
• Experience using educational technology in teaching
• Strong communication and student engagement skills

Work Schedule

This is a full-time faculty position.

Faculty members generally:

• Work 36.5 hours per week
• Work Monday through Friday
• May occasionally support institution-wide activities on Saturdays
• Teach approximately 15 credit hours during both the Fall and Spring semesters
