The School of Business Studies (SBS) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi, Pakistan, invites applications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor positions across several business disciplines.
Open areas include Management, Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Healthcare Management, and Entrepreneurship.
SBS is seeking candidates with strong research and teaching potential. The positions are essentially permanent, full-time appointments. However, exceptional candidates who cannot commit to a long-term appointment may be considered for short-term or fractional contracts (.5 FTE), including arrangements such as one semester per year with IBA.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s credentials and academic rank and will be in line with international market rates for such positions.

Candidates who have passed some examinations of a professional accounting body, in addition to holding a terminal doctorate degree in Accounting, will be given preference.
Candidates specializing in Business Economics will develop, prepare, and teach courses including:
Courses will focus primarily on external economic factors and their influence on business decisions, including changes in industry regulation or shifts in raw-material prices.
Candidates with a PhD in Healthcare Management or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
SBS aims to start a specialized master’s degree in Healthcare Management. Candidates with an undergraduate degree in medicine and/or experience in the healthcare industry—including hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, and related fields—will be preferred.
The ideal candidate would play a pivotal role in the design and launch of the degree program.
SBS invites candidates who can teach foundation courses in Entrepreneurship as well as specialized electives in areas such as:
