Liaoning Normal UniversityPosition Overview
LNNU-MSU College of International Business (CIB) is seeking a full-time international Accounting faculty member in Dalian, China.
Faculty are approved by Missouri State University and employed by Liaoning Normal University. The position involves teaching Accounting as part of the academic program delivered in cooperation with Missouri State University.
This position requires relocation to Dalian. All instruction is conducted in English, and knowledge of the Chinese language is not required.
About the Role
Full-time faculty teach 15 lecture hours per week and hold 5 office hours per week. Faculty typically teach five sections of a single course.
Faculty work in cooperation with Missouri State University to teach within the MSU-West Plains Associate of Arts degree in General Studies. Faculty are not employees of Missouri State University and are expected to fulfill the obligations specified in their contracts with Liaoning Normal University.
Interaction with students outside the classroom is encouraged.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Meet minimum standards for academic qualification consistent with HLC accreditation.
- Two years of teaching experience in a related field; university or college-level experience is preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- A Ph.D., other terminal degree, or ABD status from an accredited institution in Accounting or a closely related field.
- Five or more years of teaching experience in a related field; university or college-level experience is preferred.
- Experience working with students for whom English is a second language.
- Interest in teaching for multiple years.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience and ranges from 16,000 to 22,000 RMB per month, plus a 3,800 RMB per month housing allowance.

- One-way airfare to Dalian and, upon successful completion of the contract, a return ticket to the faculty member's permanent domicile.

The initial spring-semester contract runs from February 1 through July 31. It will renew to a one-year contract for the following academic year, running from August 1 through July 31.
One-year employment contracts are standard under Chinese Government work visa policy. Candidates interested in teaching for multiple years are preferred.
Work Permit, Visa, and Background Checks
Successful candidates must apply for and obtain a work permit and visa for China. LNNU-MSU will explain the process and assist with acquiring and paying for these documents.
Successful candidates will also be subject to:
- A criminal background check as required for the Chinese work visa.
- A background check from Missouri State University.

LNNU-MSU CIB offers a two-year Associate of Arts in General Studies and a four-year Bachelor of Science in General Business or Data Analytics to Chinese and international students.
