Cross-Cultural Management Professor (Associate/Full)

Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Cross-Cultural Management at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level, beginning in Fall 2026.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished scholar and educator with expertise in cross-cultural management, global leadership, international business, and global organizations. The successful candidate will join one of the world's leading international business schools and collaborate closely with Professor Mansour Javidan, Najafi Chair in Global Mindset and Digital Transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

  • Teach graduate-level courses in cross-cultural management and leadership
  • Deliver instruction across multiple learning formats
  • Contribute to executive education programs
  • Mentor and advise students

Research

  • Conduct high-quality scholarly research
  • Publish in leading academic journals
  • Develop impactful books, cases, and practitioner-oriented publications
  • Contribute to thought leadership in global leadership and cross-cultural management

Service

  • Participate in university governance
  • Serve on faculty committees
  • Support school and university initiatives
  • Engage with industry and community partners

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • An earned doctorate in:
    • Cross-Cultural Management
    • International Business
    • Global Leadership
    • Or a closely related field
  • Evidence of scholarly achievement and research potential
  • Ability to teach graduate-level courses effectively
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • An established reputation in scholarship, executive education, professional practice, or university service

Preferred Qualifications

Strong candidates may also demonstrate:

  • A significant research record in cross-cultural management, global leadership, or international business
  • Publications in premier academic journals and respected practitioner outlets
  • Experience designing and delivering executive education programs
  • Professional experience in multinational corporations, consulting, government, or nonprofit organizations
  • International work or living experience across multiple countries
  • Multilingual abilities
  • Experience working across business, government, and nonprofit sectors
  • A global mindset and commitment to inclusive leadership
