About the Role

As an Associate Professor of Management, you will contribute to teaching, research, and service while helping advance the department's reputation for academic excellence.

Teaching Responsibilities

You may teach courses in:

  • Organizational Behavior
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management
  • Related business disciplines based on your expertise

Teaching assignments may include:

  • Undergraduate programs
  • MBA programs
  • Doctoral (PhD) programs

The standard teaching load for research-active faculty is:

  • 2 courses each semester (2/2 load)
  • 6 credit hours per semester

Additional paid teaching opportunities may be available during:

  • Summer sessions
  • Intersession
  • Online programs

Availability depends on departmental needs and funding.

Research Expectations

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Maintain an active research agenda
  • Publish in leading peer-reviewed management journals
  • Contribute to the advancement of management scholarship
  • Collaborate with faculty and doctoral students when appropriate

Service Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to contribute through service to:

  • The department
  • The School of Business Administration
  • The university
  • The academic profession

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A PhD in Management or a closely related discipline

OR

  • ABD status with the doctoral degree completed before August 2027

Candidates should also demonstrate:

  • A strong record of original scholarly research
  • Publications or strong publication potential in leading management journals
  • Commitment to excellent teaching
  • Dedication to academic service
