Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Marketing will be expected to:
- Maintain an active research profile.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Integrate AI tools and marketing technology into teaching and research.
- Contribute to professional and program development.
- Participate in assessment activities.
- Provide service to the university and broader community.
- Participate in department, college, and university governance.
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- A PhD in Marketing or a related discipline, such as Management Science with a concentration in Marketing, from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
- Evidence of professional and scholarly activity.
- Experience with online instruction.
- Evidence of student engagement.
- A strong commitment to service.
- Familiarity with AI tools and marketing technology.
- Familiarity with technology-supported learning pedagogy.
- Successful teaching experience using modalities such as face-to-face, online, or hybrid instruction.

Compensation and Benefits
The stated salary range is $145,000–$155,000 annually. St. John’s University states that compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience and contingent upon the departmental budget. Factors considered when extending an offer include the scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education and training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market and organizational considerations.
