Assistant Professor of Business Data Analytics – Tenure Track

Institution Overview
Washburn University's Greg and Ronda Brenneman School of Business in Topeka, Kansas, seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Data Analytics, beginning Fall 2025. We welcome candidates specializing in any area of data science, particularly those committed to inclusive, high-impact teaching practices.

Position Highlights
This tenure-track role offers an excellent opportunity for scholars interested in business school faculty jobs with a focus on analytics. The Brenneman School of Business, AACSB-accredited, supports over 600 BBA, MBA, and MAcc students and will soon relocate to the newly renovated $43 million Advisors Excel Hall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of data analytics and related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Maintain scholarly activity and service in line with AACSB accreditation
  • Participate actively in curriculum development and institutional service

Teaching Load & Support
The standard teaching load is three courses per semester. Faculty receive robust professional development, access to research databases and analytics software, generous travel funding, and opportunities for summer teaching and research support.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Management Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited business school (ABD considered, Ph.D. must be completed within the first year)
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in data analytics or a related area
  • Scholarly record consistent with AACSB standards
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching that engages diverse learners
  • Official transcripts required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching business analytics at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar platforms
