Institution Overview
Crown College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty role within the Department of Business and Sport Management. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate courses in sport management and business, contribute to faculty responsibilities, and play an integral part in fulfilling the mission of a Christ-centered institution committed to academic excellence.

Position Summary
This position involves teaching undergraduate sport management and business administration faculty courses. Assignments are coordinated by the Department Chair and overseen by the Dean of the School of Business. The role is based on campus at Crown College and requires consistent in-person engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach primarily sport management courses, with the possibility of teaching in other business disciplines depending on qualifications.
  • Carry a standard teaching load of 24 credits annually; graduate-level courses may be included.
  • Advise students in the Department of Business and Sport Management.
  • Stay current in teaching methodologies, scholarly research, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the field of business and sport management through scholarship and professional engagement.
  • Actively support the mission and values of Crown College.
  • Fulfill general faculty responsibilities including department meetings, student mentorship, committee service, and maintaining 10 office hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or a related discipline.
  • College-level teaching experience in sport management and general business courses.
  • Professional or consulting experience in sport management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
  • Ability to integrate faith with academic instruction, in alignment with the Crown College Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
  • Experience evaluating academic performance and using technology in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in sport management or a terminal degree in a business-related field.
  • 18 or more graduate credits in sport management or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least five years of full-time teaching, ideally within Christian higher education.
  • Familiarity with academic standards and program assessment protocols.

Working Conditions

  • On-campus role based in an office environment at Crown College.
  • Use of instructional and administrative equipment including computers, printers, and teaching tools.
  • Physical capacity to stand for extended teaching sessions and to lift materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Visual and vocal abilities required for classroom instruction and digital interaction.

Reporting Structure
The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Business and Sport Management, the Dean of the School of Business, and the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
