Position Overview

The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Artificial Intelligence and Organizations at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting July 1, 2026. This role is ideal for candidates seeking rewarding academic careers in business at a top Canadian business school.

Responsibilities

Faculty responsibilities include teaching, research, and service.

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality courses, develop innovative pedagogy, expand graduate programs, and supervise students.
  • Research: Build and sustain a strong, well-funded research agenda. Publish in leading journals on artificial intelligence, digital strategy, and organizational transformation.
  • Graduate Supervision: Guide master’s and PhD students in AI-related research.
  • Service: Actively contribute to the Telfer community, including departmental and university committees.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Management, Information Systems, Strategy, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline.
  • Strong record (or clear potential) for research excellence, demonstrated through publications and external funding.
  • Proven teaching ability, with interest in pedagogical innovation.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary or applied research is an asset.
  • English and/or French required; passive knowledge of both official languages at tenure. Ability to teach in both is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: From $99,377 (Assistant Professor, as of May 2025).
