Position Summary
The University of Kansas School of Business is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor in International Business. This full-time, two-year faculty role starts August 18, 2026, and is ideal for those passionate about business faculty jobs and advancing international business research and teaching. Since 1909, the University of Kansas has led in academic excellence as a member of the Association of American Universities. The School of Business serves nearly 4,000 undergraduates and offers comprehensive business administration faculty jobs, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs.
You will work in Capitol Federal Hall—a state-of-the-art building designed for modern learning. The campus is in Lawrence, a welcoming city known for its vibrant arts scene, live music, and historic downtown. With a student-friendly atmosphere and big-city amenities, Lawrence is just a short drive from Kansas City and its international airport.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching (40%)
You will teach required and elective courses in international business or management at the undergraduate or graduate level. The standard teaching load is two courses per semester, and assignments may include online or in-person classes. Responsibilities include course design, student consultation, grading, and upholding school policies.

Research (40%)
You will be encouraged to build an active research program in your field, joining a vibrant faculty team with a focus on impactful scholarship.

Service (20%)
As a visiting faculty member, you will engage in department events, contribute to business school faculty jobs committees, and support the broader academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in international business or a related field, earned by August 18, 2026
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching international business or related subjects
  • Evidence of strong research abilities
