Position Overview
The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Social Innovation starting September 2026. This position is ideal for those interested in business faculty jobs focused on social impact and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
Are you passionate about social innovation and teaching others how to make a difference? We seek a dynamic scholar who will teach, mentor, and lead in areas such as social entrepreneurship, impact investing, sustainability, and leadership. If you have experience in sociology, business, entrepreneurship, psychology, or related fields and care about real impact, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach graduate courses in social innovation, entrepreneurship, impact investing, and related fields
• Mentor and advise students in programs like the MA in Social Innovation
• Lead hands-on, problem-based learning that prepares students to drive change
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in respected journals
• Help develop new programs and build partnerships with global and community organizations
• Support school and university service activities
Required Qualifications
• Doctoral degree (by appointment start) in a field like social innovation, business, sociology, public policy, or related areas
• Potential for excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement
• Strong research and publication record or promise
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and external partners
Salary and Benefits
• Salary: $92,000–$112,000 per year, depending on experience
