About Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)
HKUST(GZ) is a new, innovative university created through a partnership between mainland China and Hong Kong. Founded in June 2022, it aims to set new standards in cross-disciplinary education and research. HKUST(GZ) is structured around “Hubs” and “Thrusts” instead of the traditional “schools” and “departments.” This approach helps our faculty and students work together across subjects, develop new ideas, and respond to global challenges in business, technology, and society. When fully developed, HKUST(GZ) will have around 800 faculty, 4,000 undergraduates, and 6,000 postgraduates from around the world.

About the Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Thrust
The DSA Thrust, part of the Information Hub at HKUST(GZ), is now hiring for multiple business faculty jobs at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels. Our team advances data science and analytics by combining statistics, machine learning, optimization, computer science, and other related skills. We focus on solving real-world problems that impact business and society. Research areas include but are not limited to:

• Data-driven AI and Machine Learning
• Statistical Learning and Modeling
• Industrial and Business Analytics
• Sector-Specific Data Analytics
• Data Visualization and Infographics
• High-Performance Systems for Data Analytics
• Security and Privacy
• AI for Science

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in a related field. We welcome candidates with expertise in any of the listed research areas.

• For Assistant Professor: strong research and teaching potential required.
• For Associate Professor: evidence of strong research, teaching, student supervision, and funding.
• For Professor: recognized global leadership, outstanding academic results, and a proven record of mentoring and funding.
  HKUST(GZ) uses English as the language of instruction and administration. Our campus offers an international, collaborative environment in Guangzhou, China, with a diverse faculty from leading global institutions.
