Position Overview
Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management invites applications for a three-year limited-term faculty appointment in Business Law. The role is open at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in the Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship & International Business (SEIB). The expected start date is August 1, 2025, but this is negotiable.

  • Teach multiple sections of business law to undergraduate students

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate degree in Law or membership in the Bar of a Canadian common law province
  • Experience teaching business law or related courses; early-career applicants must show promise for teaching excellence
  • Demonstrated effort to support equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
  • Ability to teach large introductory courses
  • Experience with online or innovative teaching methods is an asset
  • Must meet AACSB qualification requirements

About the Department and Faculty
The Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship & International Business (SEIB) has thirteen full-time faculty. Our group is dedicated to excellent teaching, creative research, and building an inclusive community. We work together to improve the business school and support Dalhousie’s mission.

The Faculty of Management offers a wide range of programs in business and management, including Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Management, MBA, and more. Most degrees are externally accredited, and we value both classroom and real-world learning.
