About the Opportunity
Cornell Law School is searching for a full-time Clinical Professor to join the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic (ELC). This role is open at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on experience. The position starts in July 2026 and is based in Ithaca, New York. If you are interested in business faculty jobs or want to make a difference in business school faculty jobs, this is a unique chance to grow your academic career and help students gain real-world business law skills.
Why Join Cornell Law School?
Founded in 1887, Cornell Law School is a leader in legal education. Our faculty are ranked among the top in the country for research and teaching. We offer a supportive community where students, staff, and faculty can thrive. Our Entrepreneurship Law Clinic gives law students practical experience in areas such as business structuring, contracts, intellectual property, employment, finance, and more.
About the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic (ELC)
The ELC is Cornell’s only transactional law clinic. For seven years, it has provided pro bono legal services to startups and entrepreneurs who cannot yet hire paid legal counsel. The ELC’s work helps build local and global businesses, supports economic development, and fosters innovation. Students gain hands-on experience in business law, working with both for-profit and nonprofit clients.
Expansion and Community Impact
The ELC is growing, thanks to the creation of the Blassberg-Rice Entrepreneurship Law Center. This gift will expand the ELC’s reach and strengthen Cornell’s commitment to community engagement and learning. The clinic will grow to include three faculty members—two in Ithaca and one in New York City.
