Overview
National University's College of Business, Engineering, and Technology invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor and Academic Program Director (APD) in the Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. This is a remote role within the Department of Finance, Economics, Marketing & Accounting. We welcome candidates with a strong academic background and applied experience in business administration and supply chain fields who are eager to contribute to one of the nation’s top online business faculty teams.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

  • Develop and deliver online (or onsite, if needed) courses in logistics, supply chain management, global logistics, inventory management, and related areas
  • Create inclusive, engaging learning environments for a diverse student body
  • Maintain subject matter expertise and align courses with academic standards and accreditation requirements
  • Adhere to university policies on academic integrity

Scholarship

  • Maintain an active research agenda appropriate for a teaching-focused institution
  • Publish in peer-reviewed outlets and present at relevant conferences
  • Participate in ongoing professional development

Service

  • Engage in curriculum design, shared governance, and student support initiatives
  • Contribute to departmental committees, advisory boards, and strategic planning efforts
  • Support program outreach through community involvement

Academic Program Director Role
As APD, you will:

  • Lead program strategy and daily operations
  • Oversee curriculum alignment with industry needs and accreditation standards
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to improve student engagement and program quality
  • Represent the program in meetings, accreditation processes, and strategic discussions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related business field
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time college-level teaching experience
  • Practical experience in logistics or supply chain management (preferred)
  • Familiarity with online education delivery
  • Experience developing and updating academic curriculum (preferred)
