The Surrey International Institute (SII) is a long-standing collaboration between DUFE and the University of Surrey (United Kingdom). The Institute delivers internationally recognized undergraduate programs in:

The Business Management and Analytics curriculum has recently been redesigned to emphasize digital transformation, business analytics, and data-driven decision making.

Position Summary

The Institute is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Business Management and Analytics to teach undergraduate students and contribute to curriculum development.

Successful candidates will work closely with academic colleagues at both DUFE and the University of Surrey while delivering high-quality teaching in an international learning environment.

Teaching Areas

Applicants should be able to teach several of the following subjects:

  • Business Management and Analytics
  • Management Information Systems
  • Applied Business Analytics
  • Business Analytics Consultancy
  • Fundamentals of Business Analytics
  • Related undergraduate business courses

Key Responsibilities

As a faculty member, you will:

  • Plan and deliver undergraduate lectures and seminars.
  • Prepare and review teaching materials.
  • Design and assess coursework and examinations.
  • Mark assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Hold regular office hours and provide academic advising.
  • Support student learning inside and outside the classroom.
  • Participate in peer observations and academic development activities.
  • Collaborate with University of Surrey module leaders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching quality.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A PhD in Business Management and Analytics or a closely related discipline (preferred).
  • A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of university teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate business courses.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Industry experience.
  • UK higher education teaching experience.
  • International teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of UK quality assurance processes.
  • A recognized teaching qualification.
  • A recent record of peer-reviewed academic publications.
