Business Law Faculty Opening | University of Nevada, Reno

Position Overview
The Department of Management at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer/Teaching Professor in Business Law. This is a non-tenure track faculty position beginning July 2025. We seek a skilled professional in Business Law with excellent communication skills, significant real-world legal experience, and a proven track record as an engaging, effective educator.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking business faculty jobs or looking to contribute to business school faculty jobs in a high-impact academic setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach multiple sections of Legal Environment of Business each academic year
• Supervise recruitment, training, scheduling, and assessment of business law-related course sections
• Engage in service activities and professional development
• Option to teach additional online and summer courses
• Availability to teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes as needed

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
• Substantial recent experience as a legal professional or experience teaching Business Law
• Licensed to practice law (member of a state bar)

Preferred Qualifications

• University-level teaching experience

Appointment Rank
The University reserves the right to appoint at the rank of Lecturer I-IV or Teaching Assistant/Associate/Professor depending on qualifications.
