Position Overview
Plymouth State University’s ACBSP-accredited School of Business is seeking a dynamic Assistant Professor of Practice in General Business. This full-time, non-tenure track faculty position offers an opportunity to join a thriving academic community dedicated to business faculty excellence and innovative teaching. The role focuses primarily on the marketing and management disciplines, with teaching responsibilities spanning a wide range of business administration faculty courses, including accounting, organizational behavior, business writing, and more.

Teaching and Service Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach a 30–32 credit hour load per academic year across undergraduate and graduate programs in various modalities—traditional, blended, and online. In addition to instruction, the faculty member will:

  • Assist in developing new curriculum initiatives such as 96-hour, three-year business programs
  • Actively advise undergraduate students
  • Engage in School of Business initiatives, student organizations, and committee work
  • Support co-curricular events and experiential learning opportunities such as Panther Pitch and Enactus
  • Contribute to faculty and student retention initiatives within the business school

Required Qualifications

  • MBA or a master's degree in a related business field
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in business subjects
  • Demonstrated ability to teach general business topics, especially in marketing and management
  • Proficiency with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with academic colleagues and external business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in business-related roles
  • Experience teaching diverse learners
  • Background in integrating technology and innovation into curriculum
