About the Role
The Technical University of Munich is hiring an Associate Professor of Management Accounting and AI. This is a tenured W3 position supported by the Péter Horváth Foundation and based at TUM Campus Heilbronn. You will work at the intersection of accounting, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, contributing to one of Europe’s leading business schools.

Scientific Environment
This role is part of the TUM School of Management and the Department of Finance and Accounting. You will join a vibrant research hub at the Bildungscampus Heilbronn, with strong collaboration opportunities through the Center for Digital Transformation (CDT) and the Heilbronn Data Science Center (HDSC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative research at the crossroads of management accounting and digital technology
  • Teach across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, including introductory and advanced accounting courses
  • Mentor and support early-career researchers
  • Contribute to curriculum development and academic self-governance
  • Collaborate with industry partners and secure competitive research funding

Qualifications
We welcome candidates with:

  • A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proven excellence in research and teaching at an international level
  • Significant experience abroad and a track record in program development
  • Strong expertise in accounting with a focus on artificial intelligence applications in decision-making, performance evaluation, and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated success in obtaining external research funding
