Assistant Professor of Finance (Tenure-Track)

About the Role
The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is hiring an Assistant Professor of Finance. This is a tenure-track role. You will teach, publish research, and guide students. You will also help shape modern finance education.

Are you ready to teach future finance leaders and build strong research? This role offers both.

Teaching Responsibilities
You will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. Courses include:

• Managerial Finance (MGMT 2320)
  • Corporate finance basics
  • Financial statements and valuation
  • Risk and return
  • Capital budgeting and structure
• Investments I (MGMT 4320)
  • Security valuation
  • Portfolio theory
  • Asset pricing models
  • Market structure and derivatives

You may also create new courses based on trends in financial markets and investments.

Research Expectations
You will conduct research in financial markets and investment science. Key areas include:

• Building new investment models using data
• Studying risk management methods
• Using analytics and quantitative tools
• Publishing in top peer-reviewed journals
• Presenting at global academic conferences

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Finance or related field
• Strong research record or high potential
• Ability to teach finance clearly
• Interest in financial markets, investments, and risk
