Position Overview
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar invites applications for a Teaching Track Assistant Professor in Business Analytics, beginning Fall 2026. This role is part of the Business Administration undergraduate program, located in Doha, Qatar. The position focuses on teaching excellence with opportunities to engage in research, curriculum design, and student mentoring. Candidates should be passionate about advancing academic careers in business and building meaningful student and community connections.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a 2+2 course load each academic year.
  • Develop innovative courses and contribute to curriculum growth.
  • Supervise student projects and provide academic advising.
  • Engage with research individually or in collaboration with CMU colleagues.
  • Participate in outreach to the business and education community in Qatar.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Data Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field (ABD candidates graduating by April 2026 considered).
  • Demonstrated strength in teaching and student engagement.
  • Prior teaching experience or relevant industry background is highly valued.
  • Commitment to undergraduate education and mentorship.
  • While this role emphasizes Assistant Professor, exceptional candidates for higher ranks may also be considered.
