Tenure-Track Business School Faculty Job – Marketing | ETSU

Position Overview
The Department of Marketing at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position starting in August 2025. This is a key opportunity for scholars in marketing and related business disciplines to join an AACSB-accredited college with a commitment to academic excellence, student mentorship, and impactful research.

Teaching and Research Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate marketing courses, including Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Research/Analytics (in-person and online)
  • Develop and sustain a high-quality, peer-reviewed research agenda aligned with departmental and college priorities
  • Mentor students and support co-curricular activities, including student organizations
  • Contribute to curriculum development and service activities within the department and professional community

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a closely related field (earned by time of appointment)
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in both online and in-person teaching
  • Experience teaching core marketing courses and/or marketing analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of an active research pipeline and publications in journals listed on the ABDC or similar rankings
  • Committee service and curriculum development experience
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and their application in marketing research
  • Service to the academic community (e.g., reviewing, conference participation)
