Position Overview
IBSS is hiring for a faculty position (open rank) in the Department of Finance, located in Suzhou, China. The contract is fixed-term and renewable, with the possibility of becoming open-ended after the third term. This position is ideal for academics seeking business faculty jobs in an international environment with a focus on finance, business administration, and innovative research.

Key Responsibilities
The university values research-led teaching. Faculty are expected to balance research, teaching, and service, with an early focus on research. Responsibilities include:

• Publishing in recognized finance and business journals (ABS3/ABDC-A or higher)
• Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance and business administration
• Participating in international conferences and research funding applications
• Engaging in service and community activities
• Applicants with expertise in Artificial Intelligence in Finance, Financial Big Data, FinTech, and Digital Finance are especially encouraged to apply
  Both research and teaching-focused faculty tracks are available.

Qualifications and Experience

• PhD in Finance or a closely related field (for Assistant/Associate Professors)
• University-level teaching experience in business school faculty roles
• Evidence of high-quality publications or a strong research pipeline for early-career academics
• For senior ranks: significant publication record, external research grants, and PhD supervision experience
• Practice Track applicants (Associate Professor of Practice and above): Master’s degree required (PhD preferred), strong industry reputation, consultancy experience, and track record in practice-based student engagement

Desirable Assets

• Experience in curriculum design and business program development
• Research or teaching interests in AI, FinTech, and data science
• Professional qualifications (such as CFA, FRM)
• Engagement with academic or business communities

Employment and Visa Information
