About the University
Stony Brook Institute at Anhui University (SBIAHU) is a US-China cooperative educational institution. It was created by Anhui University in China and Stony Brook University in New York. SBIAHU opened in 2020 and is the first China-US joint institute in Anhui Province. Here, you will find a focus on research, STEM disciplines, and cross-cultural learning. Students can choose from Applied Statistics, Applied Physics, or Digital Media Technology as undergraduate programs.
About the Position
SBIAHU is hiring instructors for business school faculty jobs focused on undergraduate Information Systems courses. The right candidate will be offered the title of Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor, based on experience. Are you looking to grow your academic career at the international level? This is your chance to make a real impact as a business administration faculty member.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate students in English.
Hold office hours, assign grades, advise students, and prepare course materials.
Create and grade exams and homework.
Work with other faculty and staff to support new ideas in undergraduate teaching.
Take part in activities such as curriculum development, committee service, and course evaluations.
If you wish, you may also collaborate with information systems faculty on research projects.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related areas.
Native-level English skills (native speakers preferred).
At least two years of post-PhD teaching or postdoctoral experience.
A passion for teaching and the ability to commit to living in Hefei, China, for several years.
Willingness to consider a long-term teaching career at SBIAHU.
Experience living in China or personal ties to China are a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Assistant Professor: CNY 400,000–550,000 (USD 57,000–78,500) per year
Associate Professor: CNY 550,000–700,000 (USD 78,500–100,000) per year
Full Professor: CNY 750,000–1,000,000 (USD 107,000–142,000) per year

If hired from overseas, round-trip economy airfare covered for one contract term
Airfare from Hefei to overseas not covered if you stay in China after your term
